Responsible Production

At By Burin, we realise that values, living standards and social customs can vary greatly from country to country. However, it is our philosophy that the principles we set ourselves, and ask our suppliers and their sub contractors to adhere to, go in some way to encourage improved conditions for the human face of the production process and also reduce impact on the environment.

We believe that small steps lead eventually to increased understanding and change, which is why we ask the following of those we engage business with:

• People below the legal age will be not be employed to work in any aspect of the production process
• Employees' ages must always be verifiable
• Forced labour or prison labour is not permitted
• Compliance with current laws regarding wages, working hours, overtime compensation and payment is mandatory
• Environmental laws and regulations shall be followed
• Only leather from animals that have been specially bred for the food market will be used in production
